Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 October 2026

1. About these terms

Welcome to my website. I create and sell handmade quilts, textile art, banners and personalised textile creations.

These Terms of Service explain the conditions that apply when you browse my website, place an order or request a custom commission.

By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

Business name: Connie McCombe
Contact: Please use the contact page on this website.

2. Handmade products

Each item is handmade with care. Because handmade textiles may involve different fabrics, patterns and techniques, small variations in colour, stitching, texture and finish may occur.

Colours may also look slightly different depending on your screen and device. I do my best to ensure that product photographs and descriptions represent each item as accurately as possible.

These natural variations do not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

3. Orders and availability

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Please check your order details carefully before completing your purchase, including the product, size, personalisation and any optional extras.

If there is a problem with your order or I am unable to fulfil it, I will contact you to discuss the next steps.

You will receive an order confirmation by email. Please contact me if you believe any information in your confirmation is incorrect.

4. Custom commissions and personalised items

I welcome enquiries for custom quilts, wedding banners, memory quilts and other personalised textile creations.

Before starting a commission, we will agree on the relevant details, which may include the design, dimensions, fabrics, personalisation, price and estimated completion time.

Please check and approve any design details or personalisation carefully before work begins.

If you request changes after work has started, these may affect the price and completion date. I will discuss any additional costs with you before proceeding.

Some bespoke or personalised items may be exempt from the usual change-of-mind cancellation rights under consumer law. This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed on the relevant product pages. Delivery charges and any optional extras will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be completed using the payment methods available at checkout.

If a deposit or staged payment arrangement is agreed for a commission, the agreed payment terms will be confirmed before work begins.

I reserve the right to correct genuine pricing errors before accepting an order. If an order has been placed at an incorrect price, I will contact you to explain the issue and discuss the available options.

6. Optional extras

Some products may offer optional extras, such as bamboo hanging poles and string.

Optional extras are not included unless selected during the ordering process. Any additional charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.

7. Making and delivery times

For ready-made items, dispatch times will be stated where applicable.

Custom-made items may require additional time to design and create. Any estimated completion or dispatch date will be discussed with you before your commission is confirmed.

Delivery options, costs and estimated delivery times will be provided at checkout or agreed with you.

If there is a significant delay, I will contact you. Your statutory rights regarding delivery remain unaffected.

8. Returns, cancellations and refunds

Please refer to my Returns & Refunds Policy for details of how to request a return or refund.

For most online purchases of standard goods, you have 14 days from receiving your order to notify me that you wish to cancel, followed by a further 14 days to return the goods.

Exceptions may apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, as permitted by law.

If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact me so that I can help resolve the issue. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

9. Caring for your textile

Please follow any care instructions supplied with your item. Different fabrics, fillings and embellishments may require different care.

If you are unsure how to clean or store your quilt or textile creation, please contact me for advice.

10. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the photographs, product descriptions, designs, text and other original content on this website belong to me or are used with permission.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use this content commercially without prior permission, except where permitted by law.

Purchasing a handmade item does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying design or copyright.

11. Website use

You agree to use this website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt its operation, compromise its security or misuse its content.

I aim to keep the website accurate and available, but I cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or free from errors.

12. Liability and your rights

I will fulfil my obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or removes any rights you have under consumer protection law.

If you have a concern about an order, please contact me so we can try to resolve it.

13. Privacy

Personal information provided when browsing, contacting me or placing an order will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

Please read that policy for information about how personal data is collected, used and protected.

14. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms when necessary to reflect changes to my business, website or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on this page. Any changes will not remove rights that apply to an order already placed.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, where applicable. If you live elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections under the laws of your country of residence.

16. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms of Service, an order or a custom commission, please get in touch through the contact page on my website.
